A person's life is a series of decisions made, some decisions occurring daily, and others happening over the course of months and years. It isn't until a person has reached the midpoint of their life, or even later in life, when they realize the culminating effect those decisions have had on their life. Now looking back, every significant personal, relational, and career choice faced has presented an option in a pathway of life which could result in a number of possible outcomes.
The times when a person asks "what if" or states "if only" means they are currently at a place in life they do not wish to be and they are now reflecting back on what other possible outcomes might have occurred if different decisions were made or better options were available when choices were presented. And all of this is predicated on believing there is any productive benefit to reflecting back and coming up with numerous scenarios of the different possible outcomes.
Then people of a religious perspective try to rationalize it as being part of a divine plan, not wanting to accept they are the divine. They are part of the Source Energy of Life, connected always, disconnected never, and when they can believe in their own ability and power to listen through their own mind, and with a future focus, they can gain the wisdom necessary to make the best possible decisions as they are following their own life's plan.
A universal truth is this: Choices are not happenstance and neither is life, nor are humans merely pawns in a divine supreme being's plan to control and manipulate them at will, the same being who is supposedly known for being easily angered.
This is not how life works. The Source of Life Energy is pure and positive energy of glowing bright love, radiating through all beings. It nurtures, sustains, and generates life. Only when humans focus on negative energy do they feel a sense of being cut off, as if they are being punished. But the love from the Source of Life remains with them, in them, and flowing through them, and it is always available.
Choosing Your Point of Focus
Free will means having a choice as to your point of focus. You can choose to focus on negativity and live a life deemed evil, or focus on positive energy and live a balanced life. Now does a focus on positive energy ensure the best outcomes in life? It does not as each person has their own life's blueprint. A person can be surrounded in positive energy and still have a body with illness and disease. But the state of mind determines how a person lives their life.
With a focus on positive energy, there is a knowing that when situations arise, any decision made can be done by relying on their own internal sense of knowing, a gut instinct or insight from the Collective Consciousness of Mankind. Even without the best outcome, the need to look back in despair is minimized as the positivity draws in peace, harmony, and hope. A life of struggle, a life filled with all the wrong decisions, and a life spent looking back in regret can be turned around by using the power of their own mind.
Be Willing to Listen and Trust
When a person decides to turn within, and not plead or pray to someone or something else, they can begin to listen. Not to someone, but to the Collective Consciousness of Mankind, the memories of all of mankind which creates an energy source that in turns creates and sustains all of life. The "universe" is simply a life force that originates from the Source of Life energy, extending from the Collective Consciousness of Mankind.
Within this Collective Consciousness is a higher consciousness, a Higher Order Wisdom, which provides the knowledge necessary to help guide anyone who is willing to listen. It is a matter of learning to trust yourself and your inner voice. The most important decision you can make now is to start trusting yourself, to start finding time to listen quietly for wisdom, and find happiness in positive memories.
Then decide that from this day forward your future matters more than your past. Believe you have a part in this future and be willing to accept life where you find yourself at now. This may take practice and time to accept, believe, and embrace, but the longer you continue, the more you will come to realize that every step forward in life was needed to reach today and today is right where you belong.
